Signs Of Connection And Comfort From Your Pet In The Afterlife

It is normal to feel disconnected after losing a beloved pet. And after they are gone, you deeply long for some connection. There is a strong desire to receive a message from them, as you want to know they are okay.

In my work, animals in spirit have shared that they continue to hold you in unconditional love from the other side. They share how they see and are around you, supporting you by continuously sending you signs that they are okay.  They are never discouraged that you don’t always see or sense their signs. They know you will see them when you are ready.  Know they keep reaching out to you whether you see the signs or not. They do this from their love for you and wanting to support you as you move through the pain of your loss.

I want to share three common blocks many people experience after their pet's death that often keeps them from feeling connected with their pet who has crossed over.

3 Common Blocks

  1. Being in grief, especially in the first few days, is often intense. It is usual for the intensity of your pain and grief to lower your energetic vibration, which blocks your ability to see their signs.

  2. You are desperately searching or looking for signs from them. This fixed energy blocks your ability to receive their signs openly.

  3. Feelings of discouragement or frustration that you cannot see their signs or sense their presence around you again lower your energetic vibration and block their signs.

When we are looking for signs from our pets, pet parents often think they will be big and obvious.  However, they more often come in the least expected moments and when we are not looking. Their signs are typically small, subtle and easily overlooked.  When you are grieving, they are especially easy to miss.  Know that their signs come in all shapes and sizes as they work to catch your attention.

Some Types of Signs You May Receive:

  • Hearing sounds of them walking, scratching, breathing, snoring.

  • Seeing flashes of light or shadows of them in the corner of your eye.

  • Feeling a sensation of them on the bed, sofa or walking next to you.

  • Signs in nature: magnificent sunsets, sunrises, sun beams through the clouds, and rainbows - all aptly timed and more luminous and vibrant than you have seen before.

  • Seeing certain animals, birds, and insects, such as butterflies, bees, birds, ladybugs, or grasshoppers.

  • Noticing budding or blooming flowers, unique rocks, and stars that stand out more than usual.

  • Finding a forgotten treat in your pocket, their toy under the bed, a photo randomly popping up on your phone or computer.

  • Hearing or seeing their name a few times a day, all perfectly timed, reminds you of them.

Animals creatively send signs of their love from the other side. Often these are little things you may never have paid attention to before, but now they stand out and catch your attention. This is your animal reaching out and showing you they are thinking of you and doing their best to connect with you. This is their way of supporting you from the other side with your grief and reminding you their love for you is what will continue to connect you.

Sometimes the signs our animals send bring tears, a mix of joy and sadness. These tears help to move and release your pain and create a space for healing.

Trust that they continue to connect and that their signs come to you when you may least expect them and when you need them the most.

This is your continued connection with them in the afterlife!
